The Director, Military Intelligence, London, communicated various reports regarding the despatch of
Austrians to Mesopotamia, and admitted the possibility of a weak Austrian Division arriving in
Mesopotamia during next month,
The Director, Military Intelligence, London, was told that, under present circumstances, the Persian land
lines were free from sustained interruption and reasonably safe. #
The General Officer Commanding, Force D,” was informed that General Walter and Captain Hind
were proceeding to Basrah to discuss questions of effective strength returns.
The Minister at Tehran reported that he had been informed by the Bussian Minister of the arrival of a
squadron of Cossacks at the camp of the Yali of Pusht-i-Kuh. ...
