Following information regarding Rut Garrison received from American
Charge d 5 Affaires at Constantinople
General Townshend and Staff will he brought there and will probably
be given suitable accommodation on Prinkepo (Prinkipos ?) Island, where
they will be allowed full liberty. He has been informed that most of the
officers and men are still at Kut and Baghdad and some of these will be sent to
Damascus. Read Crescent state that there is ample supply of medical stores at
Baghdad and that British Red Cross have been informed. United States
Consul at Baghdad has been instructed to communicate with prisoners and if
possible to supply full information of special needs and requirements. Charge
d’Affaires at Sofia states that Bulgarian authorities transmit merchandise
received at Greek frontier for Constantinople. Embassy expect to receive Red
Cross supplies on Scorpion {Egyptian steamer ?) Athens via Oxiles (Oxia
Isles ?) and suggest same route for clothing and supplies for British prisoners
of war.

- Awards and medals given to British and Russian soldiers
- Outbreaks of cholera and distribution of a cholera vaccine
- Complaints of shortcomings in accounting leading to delays in soldiers being paid.
