To meet demand free issue of two ounces tobacco or forty cigarettes and
two boxes matches per man please despatch by first opportunity six hundred
cases of cigarettes each case containing fifty thousand and twelve thousand
gross matches equal to two months’ supply.
Embarkation Supply, Bombay, wired that he is obtaining one
crore
Equivalent to ten million, or one hundred lakhs. Used especially in connection with money (rupees).
Indian
cigarettes. Kindly instruct him to expedite despatch. Have sufficient stock
tobacco in hand to meet demand. Please regulate future monthly supply
cigarates and matches accordingly.

On 17th May, your party of 150 Cossacks arrived safely at the Wall of
Pusht-i-Kuh’s camp near Dehluran. From there they are moving via Ali
Gharbi to meet British Army Corps Commander on the Tigris.
