power station end a condensing plant and the dis
posal of these has'.oeen under the consideration
of the Government of India. I attach a copy
0 " r a letter No. 11711 dated the 6 th/ 9 th September,
1920,from the Gonernment of India,Army Department,
to uhe Director General,Military -Works,conveying
their decision to retain some of the existing
ice,electric and condensing plants at Bushire for
the benefit of the personnel of the Military,
Political and Indo-European Telegraph Departments,
who are each to pay one third of the total assesse
value of the plants,viz v one third of Rs.1,34,066.
To give effect to the decision of the Gov
ernment of India it is submitted that sanction
may be given to an expenditure of Rs.44,688 re
presenting the share of the Indo-European Tele
graph Department in the purchase of the ice.electr
and condensing plant at Bushire.
Provision for this expenditure has been made
in the Budget Estimate of the Department for the
year 1921-1922.

(the Foreign Office) accept a moiety of the cost of maintaining the electrical and mechanical plants
- The proposal to install masonry water tanks in place of the water condenser plant at Bushire
- The Foreign Office proposal that the Indo-European Telegraph Department should not expect to receive a full share of the proceeds of the sale of the existing plant as well as to be free of liability during the period since their withdrawal (since 1 April 1930).
