Black and white print of a photograph of a date harvest at Fāo [Al-Fāw, Iraq]. No date is provided but, given the dates of similar prints found alongside this photograph, it is likely to have been printed in preparation for the publication of the second volume of John Gordon Lorimer's Gazetteer of the Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. , Oman and Central Arabia (i.e. the Geographical and Statistical section) in 1908, although it doesn't appear to have been included in the published volume. The photograph is attributed to Mr W D Cumming.
