Content

Black and white print of a photograph of an aerial view of the centre and western end of Masqat [Muscat]. No date is given. However, the photograph was first published in the second volume of John Gordon Lorimer's Gazetteer of the Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. , Oman and Central Arabia (i.e. the Geographical and Statistical section) in 1908, and this print is identical to the one found in that volume. The photograph is attributed to Major Percy Zachariah Cox.
