In continuation of our despatch No. 11, dated 2nd instant, regarding the
death of Dr. Livingstone, we have the honor to forward, for the information
of Her Majesty’s Government, a copy of a letter
from the Acting Political Agent A mid-ranking political representative (equivalent to a Consul) from the diplomatic corps of the Government of India or one of its subordinate provincial governments, in charge of a Political Agency. at Zanzibar, report
ing his proceedings subsequent to the arrival at Zanzibar of Dr. Murphy and
his party, hearing the remains of Dr. Livingstone.
