This item consists of copies of a Political Despatch from the Government of India Foreign Department to the Secretary of State for India, dated 9 October 1874, forwarding a copy of correspondence with the Acting Political Agent A mid-ranking political representative (equivalent to a Consul) from the diplomatic corps of the Government of India or one of its subordinate provincial governments, in charge of a Political Agency. at Zanzibar on the subject of consular jurisdiction at Zanzibar.
