Map of the Trucial Coast A name used by Britain from the nineteenth century to 1971 to refer to the present-day United Arab Emirates. , showing the disputed area of Buraimi [Al Buraymī, circled]. A dotted line indicates the line claimed by the Saudi Arabian Government in 1949, while an orange line indicates the line claimed on behalf of the Ruler of Abu Dhabi in 1952.
