clothing to the 4 surveyors who had worked last
year, free issue of clothing to all khalssies,
free transport for all and free rations or allow
ance in lieu thereof.
(c) The Company will hear the usual proportionate
contribution for pension to pensionable men and
the usual compensation admissible under rules
for death or Qt±gkxx& disablement to the others.
(d) Contract leave or bonus in lieu thereof will be
granted by the Company to the personnel while on
foreign service.
3. Mr. McCraken will not on this occasion be allowed
an outfit allowance, but in view of his increased
personnel and responsibilities, will be granted a
detachment charge allowance (special pay) of B.S.50A per
mensem in addition to the Field Servi.ce allowance of
Es.100/- per mensem.
4 _ As time is short, I have in anticipation of the
approval of the Government of India instructed Mr. Me
Craken to assemble his party and be ready to start by the
middle of September 1923, and I beg that Government may
be pleased to sanction the deputation on foreign service,
for a period not exceeding one year for the present,of
the detachment under the Anglo-Persian Oil Co., Ltd.,
Mohammerah from 10th September 1925 or such date from
which the Party may actually be formed.
5 . in conclusion I wouia observe that the proposed
deputation of the detaclunent will result in a saving to
the budget allotment of this Eepartmen., as th. p y
allowances of the officers and subordinates will be
■borne by the Company.
6 . I shall feel obliged, if sanction may be
by wire at the earliest possible date.
