A copy of a letter from Harford Jones, Resident in Bagdat [Baghdad], to Samuel Manesty, Resident in Bussora [Basra], sent from Bagdat and dated 14 November 1803.

The letter concerns an attempted plot against the Bacha [‘Alī Pāshā al-Kahyah, Governor of Baghdad] in Bagdat. Jones reports that the Bacha has ordered the conspirators to be sent to Bussora and thence to India on East India Company ships.
