He reports the actions taken by Captain Arnold Burrowes Kemball, Resident in the Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. , to prevent a conflict between the Al Ali [Āl ‘Alī] and the Boo Soomait [Āl Būsmayṭ] tribes on the Persian [Iranian] side of the Gulf.
