likely, prices fall, cultivation is bound to be
curtailed.
Arms traffic has now come under the Persian
ban, and large quantities of sporting guns and
ammunition have been confiscated; several consignments
have been re-exported to the consignors (p* 18).
An unusual controversy arose between
Missionaries and the Muscat State over the rites to be
performed at the burial of a Muhamnadan man whose family
were said to have been converted to Christianity. The
affair was amicably settled thanks to the helpful
attitude adopted by the(President of the Council of
Ministers (p. 40).
The views of Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad of
Bahrain (p. 45) and Arab intelligentsia in Kuwait (p. 56)
regarding the situation in India are of interest.

This volume contains copies of the annual 'Administration Reports of the Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. ' prepared by the Political Residency An office of the East India Company and, later, of the British Raj, established in the provinces and regions considered part of, or under the influence of, British India. in Bushire and printed at the Government of India Press in New Delhi for the years 1926-1938.
These annual reports are divided up into a number of separate reports for different geographical areas, usually as follows:

- Administration Report of the Kerman and Bandar Abbas Consulates
- Administration Report for Fars
- Report on AIOC [Anglo-Iranian Oil Company] Southern Area
