Correspondence discusses certain deficiency in intelligence such as the use of private individuals to transfer correspondence. Includes a 'Statement of the Dispatches' sent to the Court of Directors The London-based directors of the East India Company who dealt with the daily conduct of the Company's affairs. by overland packet giving the Department (Secret; Public; Revenue and Judicial), date and route taken (Aleppo or Bagdad [Baghdad]).

Also includes a 'Statement of Receipts on Postage' from 1 May 1800-30 April 1802.
