On 28.2.35 Sir Sayld Taimur Bln Faisal, the
ex-Sultan of Muscat and Oman, travelling in the name
of T.F.T. Alsaid hooked a 2nd class passage ticket for
Japan hy the Italian line, in Bombay and sailed by the
S.S. "Conte Verde" on 25.3.35 accompanied by a Jew
named Moalim Saleh Hayim, who also travelled second
class. On arrival in Singapore they secretly met
Ibrahim Omar Alsagoff or Sheikh Mohammad El Sakoff,
an alleged Japanese representative in the Kingdom of
Saudi Arabia and it was decided that v/hile they were
to continue their journey by the "Conte Verde",
Alsagoff w should kKxvxlksd travel separately. He
did so arriving in Shanghai by the "Felix Roussel" on
9.4.35 under the name of Mr. A.O. Ibrahim. while
Alsaid and Moalim stayed in the embassy Hotel, Alsagoff
resided in the Park Hotel. All the three met frequent
ly in the Embassy Hotel but always in complete secrecy.
Nothing is known as to what transpired at these meetings.
An Indian merchant from Japan who came to Shanghai,
had business connections with Moalim and had been
instructed by his principals in Bombay to advance such
funds as Moalim might ask for. At the same time he
wrote to his agents in Japan at Moalim’s request,
instructing them under no circumstances to mention to
any Indian or foreigner in Japan the fact that Alsaid
was visiting that country in the near future. \ Alsagoff
travelling as Ibrahim Omar Alsagoff returned on 20.4.35
to Singapore by the S.S. "Felix Roussel", while Alsaid
and Moalim left Shanghai for Japan on 10.5.35 in the
S.S. "Chenonceaux". They were to meet Alsagoff in
Singapore...
