This item consists of copies of political letters from the Governments of Bombay to the Court of Directors The London-based directors of the East India Company who dealt with the daily conduct of the Company's affairs. of the East India Company. The enclosures to these letters are contained in the subsequent items. It is the first in a series of fifty-one items on the Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. .
