A narrative of the particulars of the journey and associated expenses for the conveyance of dispatches overland by way of Bussorah [Basra].

W C Jackson (Secretary) informed Lieutenant Samuel Hunter that his expenses appeared 'so enormous and improper' that the Board would leave it to the Court of Directors The London-based directors of the East India Company who dealt with the daily conduct of the Company's affairs. .

Correspondents include Major-General Meadow, Governor and President in Council, Fort St George.
