Post-1784, its main role was to transmit communications between the Board of Control and the Company's Indian governments on matters requiring secrecy. of the East India Company's Court of Directors The London-based directors of the East India Company who dealt with the daily conduct of the Company's affairs. , with notes on the conduct of Sir Harford Jones during his diplomatic mission to Persia [Iran]. The memorandum is in response to the charges made by Lord Minto [Gilbert Elliot Murray Kynynmound, 1st Earl of Minto], Governor-General of Bengal, and covers the period from January 1809 to March 1810.
