April 7th. Begins. Representatives of Kurdish national committee
at Constantinople,Ideaders of whom are Sheikh Abdul Caiir & Doctor
bdullah Jozat,passed through Mosul about March 25th.for Suleiman
lyeh with letters to tribes calling on them to cast off British
yoke & declare their independence under Turkish suzerainty
Representative is named Khulusi.aged 45 & (2 grps .undoc.) Imams.
Suleimajflyeh Kurd, who has for about 20 years been in Constantinople
as a Muslem. He is potentially dangerous as the activities *
propaganda of Constantinople committee were undoubtedly responsible
for recent ?outrage at Zakho. I would urge prompt necessity of
removing Abdul Qadtr & Doctor Jozat from Constantinople. Ends.
Following dated April 8 th (Bogins) Report from Jazire that Qulmakam
has left and there are only few troops and those arc leaving.
Mufti notorious as being instigator of Christian massacres in
Jazire and neighbourhood., is travelling among the Kurdish tribes
urging them to occupy Jazlro on behalf of the Kurdish Govt .which is
about to be formed. Have received letter from Azekh a Christian town
west of Jazire which owing to its largely armed population has
always stood up against Turks and Kurds. They now state they can
