Content

The map shows Eastern Turkey, Syria and Western Persia including relief, hydrology, settlements and distribution of Arab tribal groups such as the Muntifik Arabs. The map was originally prepared by the Royal Geographical Society in 1910 and a key indicates international boundaries as in July 1914, as well as railways and telegraph lines. Also on this key is a note indicating that lines hand drawn on the map in red ink are to indicate possible new boundaries of the states to be created in succession to the Ottoman Empire.
