3. “ Gholam Mahomed Khan, son of Yahaya Khan, who possesses property to the value
of two lakhs One lakh is equal to one hundred thousand rupees of rupees Indian silver coin also widely used in the Persian Gulf. , should be severely pressed. He states that he was goino- to aecom-
pany Sirdar Leader of a tribe or a polity; also refers to a military rank or title given to a commander of an army or division. . 617. The following extract from the diary of the 9th February gives an
additional illustration of the method adopted for dealing with Yacoob’s
adherents:
“ Formerly a daughter of Sumundur Khan, Tokhi, was married to Nazir Naeem Khan,
an agent of the late Sirdar Leader of a tribe or a polity; also refers to a military rank or title given to a commander of an army or division. Gholam Hyder Khan, Governor of Herat, but after the death of
the Nazir, she was married to the late Ameer Mahomed Afzul Khan, who considered her a
wealthy woman and an adherent of Ameer Shere Ali Khan, and received fifty thousand rupees Indian silver coin also widely used in the Persian Gulf.
