will he permitted without our concurrence, while articles not included in indent will
not be supplied until further notification authorising is received from War Office
through you.
b. Estimate makes no provision for reliefs for units serving overseas at
commencement of next financial year. We do not know yet what policy His Majesty’s
Government will adopt in this connection. If special units have to be raised in India
for relieving regular units serving overseas, entire cost of raising such units will be
a charge against His Majesty’s Government. Estimates given in this telegram have
not been yet finally examined. If any corrections are found necessary as the result of
this final examination, they will be telegraphed to you by the end of this month.
