2. From enquiries made on the Mekran border it
appears that the brothers Mirza and Jalal, were
originally residents of Jaahk in Iran. They left
Iranian Mekran about two years ago due to* the pressing
attentions of the Iranian Government and returned, it
is said, with a number of arms in their possession,
only last September or October. They were responsible
for the raid on the Miaami post at Galik on the Iranian
Coast last November, when they succeeded in inflicting
a number of casual it ies on the. Hi zamis.
3. It is also reported that Mirza Khan kidnapped
some 10 to 15 Baluchis last Hcvember from the Coast of
Iranian Mekran west of Chahbar and shipped them to the
Batinah Coast, hoping to obtain arms in exchange, it
is not known if he succeeded in bartering the children.
4. With the exception of a rumour to the effect
that Mirza Khan has lately?- been trying - not entirely
without success - to effect a reconciliation with the
Iranian authorities, nothing has been heard of him or
his brother during the last six months.
