A letter to Thomas Woolley, East India Company Secretary, from William Phipps, Supervisor at the Mocha Factory An East India Company trading post. , dated 21 July 1721. The letter states that the Mocha Factory An East India Company trading post. has previously been managed with 'indolence and carelessness', and it discusses the inaccuracy of weights and measures used at Mocha. It was received via the ship Sunderland on 19 March 1721 [New Style date 19 March 1722], and was read in the Court of Directors The London-based directors of the East India Company who dealt with the daily conduct of the Company's affairs. on 22 March 1721 [New Style date 22 March 1722].
