I am directed hy Earl Curzon of Kedleston to state
that His Lordship concurs in the terns of the draft
telegram to the Government of India regarding the supply
of aims to Afghanistan which was enclosed in your letter
No. 2390 of the 29th ultimo.
As regards the question of the export of aims and
munitions to Nepal which was raised in your letter No.
1409 of the 12th ultimo, I am to state that, in His
Lordship’s opinion, Nepal may, for the purpose of the
Aims Traffic Convention, he looked upon as being within
the political organisation of the British Empire, and
that exports of aims, etc., may therefore he made hy the
Government of India to that State as occasion may require.
I am to add that the other points raised in your
letter of the 12th ultimo are being dealt with separately,
and that a further letter will he addressed to your
Department in due course.
