We inform you, oh friend, tnat a party of
Zaidis went to Rada. They have with them war materials
such as guns and ammunition. They have sent letters
to the address of Sultan Saleh bin Abdulla and our
selves asking us therein to either go with our forces
to Lahej in order to assist Saeed

them. They stated in their letter that they want to
go to the Hadramaut territory in order to occupy the
whole country of the Shafais.
Please note,Sheikh Atik bin Ahmed came to us
.and told us of their (Turks) corruption and oppres
sion etc. Ke (Sheikh Atik) has already warned the
people on the Northern direction to safeguard their
country and stop the evil doers from coming to it.
Sheikh Atik is proceeding to hadramaut. We
have entered into pact with him to help the people
of Hadramaut because we have learnt that letters
have been sent to Hadramaut. The Sheikh went to them
(Hadramaut people) to give them a warning against
the plots of the corrupt people (Turks). We shall
hereafter send a messenger to you with a letter ex
plaining matters etc.
