The Dubi Sheikh and Sultan Abdul Kadir, the Fadli
Sultan’s grandson, report a mutual arrangement whereby the
latter undertakes to guard the road to Aden for the Yafais on
payment of a fee of six annas per camel.
A rumour, unconfirmed, has lately reached us that the
Imam’s son, who was lately reported as in rebellion against
his father, has moved down to the neighbourhood of Jabal Jihaf

Turks have issued a proclamation at Ibb to the effect that the
English have sued Turkey for peace and offered to restore
Egypt and Basrah to the Turks and to make over Aden and LaheJ
