letters received from Radfan (Aairi) during

the last week confirm the neve of Sjred Mahomed Darwiche
preparation# to attack Kataba . He ip paid have
collected a large force at Jabel Mure# and have warned
the Radfan tribesmen to hold themaelvee in readines#.
Another letter^ says that he has paaeed through Radfan
and intend# attacking Kataba. Our correspondent in
Upper Yafa, Sheikh Saleh Itohain Askar report# that the
Syed is at Shaik (Upper Yafa) temporarily, owing to
his country Ar-Rayashia being in a state of unrest and
also owing to the presence of the Zaidis in Juban.

reference to paragraph 1 of my loot letter, tnat the
