Matters discussed include the following: the possibility of dues being collected from ships using the Gulf, as an alternative means of financing the present service or a reduced service, in the event of the current arrangement of moieties (paid by the Government of India and the Foreign Office respectively) being discontinued; proposed increases in rates of pay for personnel working at the Gulf's lighthouses and lightships; the proposed appointment of a full-time Royal Indian Marine clerk for lighthouse work.
