Your telegram 6th September 1552S. At further
interdepartmental conference it was agreed to omit
provisoes from Article 4 and to include article on lines
of Article 6 of old treaty but without mention of Luscat
which was not mentioned before and stands on different
international footing from other principalities.
2nd and last part.
Following re-draft of Article 3 was adopted.

Ibn Baud. It will merely fprm model for Jordan s
guidance in regard to certain points. General line oi
approach recommended is to find as many points as
possible on which agreement can easily be reached ajid
conclude treaty covering them, and to leave contentious
matters for dispose,! after relations with Ibn Baud have
been put on treaty basis.
