Sir,
I am directed to refer to despatch No. 13 from the
Political Hesident in the Persian Sulf to His Majesty*«
Secretary of State for the Colonies, dated 9th June, 1926.
2. The ]ueation raised is perhaps somewhat outside
the present sphere of the Toternment of India, to ’how,
however, the integrity of the Arab States bordering on the
Persian Oulf must be of some concern.
3 . The Oovemment of India support the reconwenda-
tions made in paragraph 21 of the
Political Resident

of Nejd against interference with the Crucial Chiefs raifht
appropriately be made in general form under the 1915
Agreement, without any attempt being made to define
territorial limits. At the same time they consider that
the Trucial Chiefs should be warned not to have direct
dealings with officials of the Nejd Government.
