found that the Sultan proposed to include the whole of
qatar in this concession and took him to task for it#
In the end the Sultan accepted as his eastern
boundary a line running due South from the head of
Salwah bay (at the bottom of the Gulf of Bahrain), and
in due course this line was given to the Tyndicate as
the eastern border of its* concession. Looking at the
Gazetteer map, one might imagine that the whole of
Jafura lies to the lest of this line, but the letter-
press clearly shows that it does not. U ^ce s to me
that Ibn 3a*ud can hardly be expected to retrain from
exercising jurisdiction over the Al korra all over the
Jafura desert.
