Article X
There shall he peace and friendship between
Hie Britannic Majesty and Hi a Majesty the King of the
Fejaas and Sultan of Kejd and its Dependencies. xiach of
tho High contracting parties agrees and promises to use
all possible means to prevent his territory being used as
a base for activities directed against the present or
future interests of the oth r.
Article
His Majesty the King of the Kejar, and sultan of
Nejd and its Dependencies hereby recognises the special
position of Kis Britannic ftstjesty in Iraq, Trans-Jordan
and Palestine.
Article 3.
His Majesty the King of the Hejaz and Sultan
of Hejd and its Depen dene iee hereby undertakes to
facilitate the performance of the pilgrimage by British
subjects and British protActed persons of i odea faith,
and to protect such person* during the performance of
the uilgriraaga.
Article 4.
Hie Majesty the King of the Kejaz and Dalian
of Hejd and its Dependencies agrees that the property of
the aforesaid pilgrims who rany die in the territories of
Hie Majesty shall be handed over to tha British
representative in the said territories, or to such authority
as he may appoint for the purpose, to be di nosed of in
accordance with the law applicable to the case. The

that any dues or taxes which are payable on such property
