scheme for- the League of Moslem Nations to i'ethi hey in
Paris. From the latter my correspondent gathered that
Turkey i 3 anxious to come to terras with Britain* so as to
have a breathing space in which to organise this new League,
which is to be a Moslem counterpart to the League of Nations.
Pethi Bey said that he was anxious to discuss with an
English Moslem the question of the new League s relations
with India, with Indians in the British Colonies, and with
the Moslems of French northern Africa. It appears that
Fethi Bey still has dreams of the old Pan-Turanian Movement,
and is anxious to work with the co-operation of Afghanistan,
2, A constant visitor at the Ahmadiya House at
Southfields informed me that a Russian Moslem had been there
recently, with a view to learning the Ahmadiya ways. It
is understood that the leader of the Sect is anxious to get
some of his followers into Russia, to get into personal
touch with Moslems there,
Abdur Rahim Lard, the Imam of the Southfields Mosque,
was in Germany during the latter part of January, and visi
ted Berlin, Hamburg, and afterwards Amsterdam; he has now.
returned to London, but information as to the events of hisi
journey has not yet been received. It is understood, how
ever, that Fazl Karim Khan, the Imam of the Berlin Mosque
wishes to make his peace with Qadian, though he will do It
