loth Hoharreoi, 1344 (August 9th, 1925).
After respects*
Tou are quite aware of the difficulties that were
Brought en the Hejag and its people during the last few
peart, as resulting from the successive wars and ths
oppression of previous rulers, and that rights of
humanity compel us to extend help as far as possible
to these miserable people*
The people of the Hojaz have applied to us to allow
some of them to go to Kgypt, India and the l ast Indies
so that they may ralso charitable funds for the poor
natives and apply for the charities designed for them
in the above countries.
As our Government is not willing to follow the
policy of the previous government in putting obstacles in
the way of benefactors and pilgrims* we wish to send, on
our behalf, some of our best people whom we rely upon to
prevent any maladministration or transaction which is
likely to take plaoe, and to accomplish the following :*
1. To expound our religious affairs and make clear our
good intentions towards this country as regards comfort
and safety of the roads*
2* Te contradict the lies and false rumours propagated
by our enemies*
Knowing that His Majesty’s Government care for the
welfare of the Holy Band which is visited by an enormous
number of their nationals, inasmuch a$ they wish, tnat their
nationals
