8. At 0823 hours a wireless message was received
from Headquarters, Palestine Command, giving permission
to take action*
9 . At 0905 3 D.H.9a's. Pilots, Squadron Leader
J.H.D'Albiao D.S.O. , i'lipht Lieut. S.H. Wallage Jl.C.,
and Flying Officer j.U.Korrie, left the ground, and
ware over the ruirfero at 0912 hours. Kr. Kirkbride,,
Assistant to the Chief British Representative,
accompanied Squadron Leader J.H.D. ’ Albiao in order to
verify that the raiders were Wahabis, on seeing them
he immediately decided that they were.
10. At 0915 hours the signal was given by Squadron
Leader J.H.D'Albiao, D.S.O. to attack with bombs and
Lewie guns. Immediately the first bomb burst the .vahabis
instantly turned and began their retreat which soon
became disorderly.
11. Having dropped his homos, Squadron Loader w.K.L
Albiao searched for the three armoured cars which he
found one mile K.W. of Teneib. and dropped a message
ordering Flying Officer H.B. Thornton, who was commanding
