7. At Janik village under Van a quantity of corn was burnt, and a -sheep stolen
on the 15th October, 1306, by an Armenian and a Kurd.
The culprits were seized and delivered to the Court.
8. By Shahin, Markar, and companions of Ablacans village under Van, a Kurd
of that village was killed 13th October, 1306.
The Armenian culprits were seized and delivered to the Court.
9. A quantity of corn and hay of Mirek village under Van was burnt 15th October,
1306, by an Armenian and a Kurd.
The culprits were seized and delivered to the Court.
10. Four or five months ago a number of sheep were carried off from Eskipak
village under Van by Arusan Kurds of Persia.
The matter has been followed up and the sheep restored.
11. The man Sarkis, of Kosh village under Van, was wounded by Girdevanli-Oglu
Yusuf Bey 25th August, 1306.
The culprit seized and delivered to the Court.
12. On the 14th October, 1306, the discharged soldiers, corporal Ibrahim and
two privates, were robbed of money and goods at the Chukh Pass in Hekkiari,
Sandjak.
The culprits were traced and delivered to the Court of Hamidiyye, Caza.
13. The Consul asked whether the brigand, Gaso, has been found.
This robber, being a Persian, is going about in Persia.
14. A number of sheep have been stolen from Hamidiyyd Caza.
These have been found and given up to their owners.
15. Hay was burnt on the 15th October, 1306, at the Akhtamar monastery by
Fakhi Bairam and Khlid.
The culprits were seized and delivered to the Court.
16. The Consul asserts that 700 sheep were stolen from the monastery Mezop
(Kozlu) in Arjish Caza.
The sheep, sixty or seventy, not 700, have been all restored.
17. The Armenian Avak of Mendan village under Van, was killed on the
22nd October, 1306. .
Upon inquiry Eyub Khan and his sons, Nuri and Izdinsher Beys, were seized
upon suspicion and delivered to the Court.
18. Mardo, of Mazruk village under Van, was killed 22nd October, 1306, and his
companion, Bagdo’s, effects were plundered.
The culprits named Besho-a-Yezid, and his brothers, Khalo and Osman, were
seized and delivered to the Court.
19. The Armenian, Movses, of Shattakh, was wounded 17th October, 130b.
The culprit, Girevanli Ismail, was seized and delivered to the Court.
20. From Satibeg village under Van 180 sheep were stolen 1st November, 1306.
The culprits have been seized and delivered to the Court.
21. The Consul announces that 240 sheep were stolen from Kasrik village,
Hamidiyyd Caza, by Shikiak Kurds. ^ ^ n oac*
These sheep, being 120 head, were returned to the owners 1st November, 130b.
22. Two thousand sheep were stolen from Nestorians in the Cazas of Gevar and
Oramar, Hekkiari Sandjak, by Persian brigands.

23. A girl of the Nestorian community at Serai in Mahmudi Caza, Hekkiari, had
come to the vilayet chief place in order to adopt Islam. . .
Lately, in presence of the Council, having changed her mind and desiring to
revert to her original creed, a decision was come to on the 8th November, 1306, tor
restoring her to her mother, which was done. .
24. From Taramagh village in Mukus Caza, Yego’s wife Elmas was carried on in
1305 {i.e.y 1889) by Jafar-ben-Husein and Genja-ben-Murad.
When ascertained on inquiry that the woman has been taken to khizan Caza,
much correspondence ensued between the Bitlis vilayet and Hukus Caza authontics,
and a special agent was sent to Mukus that the woman should be produced.
25. The Consul inquires as to the conversion (to Islam) of Yego, husband of this
woman Elmas, and his three fellows.
These persons indeed came two or three months ago to the vilayet chief place to
adopt Islam, but for certain reason their profession was not accepted and the) were
sent home. _
