My dear Friend,
With reference to our conversation regarding armed pirates
on the Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. coasts I have the honour to confirm that the
incident referred to during our interview took place on the 4 th
Tir 1321 (25th June 1942) as follows! when the wife and children
of Ali Bandari and Qanbar Khoshad, a customs ferrash, and a
number of others were proceeding from Jask to Minab on a sailing
boat they met near Kuh Mobarek with armed pirates named Hussein
Morad, Seyid Mohammed and Ibrahim Mirshahi, Iranian Baluchs who
now reside in Oman. The pirates in addition to stealing their
property arrested them and took them as prisoners to Om**n where
they detained them, and this raised daily complaints from their
husbands and relatives. As according to information received
the activities of these pirates have recently intensified you
are requested to inform me of the result of steps which have
been taken in the matter for which I shall be extremely grateful.
