The letter provides information on the wool inventory stored at the warehouse at Bushire. The Resident explains his intention to sell off most of the stock as soon as possible and only keep a small proportion in reserve until new stock arrives, as several bales are already damaged and not likely to last long.
Includes an enclosure from Captain Hopwood outlining his version of the altercation which took place between him and the merchant, Johannes Muscow.
