The letter is forwarding a copy of his reply to Ḥusayn ‘Alī Mirzā the Prince at Sheraz [Shiraz] and his Prime Minister Nasser Allah Khan. Includes one enclosure:
1. Translation of a letter from Nicholas Hankey Smith to the Prince at Sheraz, dated 18 September 1807. The Resident is sending his gratitude for the honours and gifts recently bestowed upon him by the Prince. He further expresses a wish that, as the Prince's ambassador Mohumed Nebee Khan [Muḥammad Nabī Khān] is proceeding towards Tahran [Tehran], he make efforts to improve relations between Britain and Persia.
