In this letter, received 8 June 1802, David Seton, Resident at Muscat, informs Nawab An honorific title; an official acting as a provincial deputy ruler in South Asia; or a significant Muslim landowner in nineteenth century India. Mirza Mehedy Ally Khaun [Mirza Mahdi 'Ali Khan Bahadur], Native Resident at Bushire, of the mission of a representative of the Muscat Government, which involves travelling to Sheraze [Shiraz] and giving presents to the son of the King of Persia [Fat'h Ali Shah Qajar], in the hope of procuring the cooperation of the Persian forces towards the recovery of Behrien [Bahrain].
