In this letter, received 5 January 1802, David Seton, Resident at Muscat, acknowledges the receipt of a letter, dated 2 November 1801, from Nawab An honorific title; an official acting as a provincial deputy ruler in South Asia; or a significant Muslim landowner in nineteenth century India. Mirza Mehedy Ally Khaun [Mirza Mahdi 'Ali Khan Bahadur], Native Resident, Bushire, and regrets his (Seton's) absence from Muscat. Seton states that the boat (he does not specify which boat) will be got ready and sent to the Resident.
