In this letter Mirza Mehedy Ally Khaun [Mirza Mahdi 'Ali Khan Bahadur], Native Resident at Bushire, informs Samuel Manesty of the recent respective movements of the Alert and the Recovery . He reports that he has received from Shiraze [Shiraz] the answers to his recent communications. He states that the late unfortunate event [the death of the Persian Ambassador] has not in the least encroached upon the friendship that exists between the two countries [Britain and Persia]. Mirza Mehedy Ally Khaun concludes by stating that he will dispatch the Ternate for the Presidency The name given to each of the three divisions of the territory of the East India Company, and later the British Raj, on the Indian subcontinent. today, with Cherauk Ally Khaun's letter for the President of Bombay.
