Mirza Mehedy Ally Khaun [Mirza Mahdi 'Ali Khan Bahadur], Native Resident at Bushire, directs Lieutenant Richard Bennett, Commander of the Alert , to proceed to the Island of Carack, in order to collect passengers before returning to Bushire. Bennett is instructed to provide himself with a pilot for the Bussora [Basra] river so that he will not have any occasion to stop there on his way to Bussora.
