Mirza Mehedy Ally Khaun [Mirza Mahdi 'Ali Khan Bahadur], Native Resident at Bushire, instructs Lieutenant Edward Lowes, Commander of the Ternate , to deliver letters to Muscat before proceeding to the Presidency The name given to each of the three divisions of the territory of the East India Company, and later the British Raj, on the Indian subcontinent. of Bombay to deliver packets there. The Resident states that, owing to hostilities between Arab powers in the Gulph [Gulf], Lowes must not hold any communications with the boats that he meets on his passage.
