Company should withdraw their objection to tjie
eomunication of the text of the letter from Messrs*
Hedwood of 5th November 1934 on this subject to the
authorities in Bahrein. In the course of discussion
with Mr# Ballantyne on 11th December he gave me to
understand that the objection came from Hamilton ana
that he had himself never been very clear as to the
reasons for it. He would, however, now take it up
again with him, though some delay woula be involved
owing to Mr. Hamilton^ absence in the Gulf. I told
Mr# Ballantyne that copies of the letter had been sent
to you and to the Government of mala#
