taken the conduct of municipal matters
into his ow r n hands. He is taking steps v
to widen thoroughfares, allot sites for
markets, regulate prices of foodstuffs and
keep shops and public baths clean. The
Revenue Department have shown some
reluctance to entrust the municipal
revenues to his hands, but have had to
give way.

Mohammed on the one hand and Durra
Khan and Dilawar Khan on the other is
being settled by the intervention of Mir
Dost Mohammed Khan, Governor of

ceased, but the tax on caravans is still
being levied. Eleven petty traders w r ho
left Charbar during the critical period are
reported to be returning.

graph 196 is reported to have come from
Persian territory. It is understood that
action in the matter is being taken by the
Agent to the Governor-Genercil in
Baluchistan.
