SS, “ Persepolis.”—45 cases rifles, 459 cases ammunition and 2 cases hunting

SB. “ Turkistan,”—76 cases rifles, 530 cases ammunition and one case
springs.

659. With reference to diary entry No. 548, His Highness the Sultan publish
ed the detailed rules for the custody of arms and ammunition on the 12th.

660 With reference to diary entry No. 549, Monsieur Elbaz returned to Maskat
on the 13th. It was said that he had secured fresh orders for arms and ammum-

Maskat on the 22nd. This time he has brought out his brother. ^
662 His Highness the Sultan has sent Saiyid Kassim, a British Indian subject
in his emnloy and whom he has selected for the post of the Superintendent, Arms 1
