Content

The letter congratulates Boddam on his appointment as President (following Hornby's return to Europe). A consignment of woollens and related trade matters are discussed in detail. The movements (and cargoes) of the Neptune Packet, the Panther , the Europa and a Danish vessel are described. The letter notes an error (of 100 rupees Indian silver coin also widely used in the Persian Gulf. ) in the manifest of pearls and treasure freight by the Bombay Grab Shallow vessel with a projecting bow. and discusses other financial matters in detail.
