Reports the capture of [Berfseen?] by the East India Company and reports that after Heydar Ally [Hyder Ali] had moved against Madras, the Company destroyed his fleet off of the Malabar coast. The also reports the capture of the Bombay Merchant, commanded by Captain Virtue. The letter mentions that Sadoo Khan [Sadiq Khan] intends to move against Ally Murad Cahn [Ali Murad Khan].
